This chapter will illustrate how to turn the story of “The Gunman Case” into a narrative study, a phenomenology, a grounded theory, and an ethnography.

General Problem:

“How did the campus react?”

Specific Problems:

studying a single individual’s reaction to the gun incident, how several students as a culture-sharing group reacted, etc.
